Major Series

Well, it's me, Rush1720. I decided I was going to call some major series (series? What is the plural of series? Serieses? Oh, well.) Anyway, we want you to get as many book reviews as possible, so I've decided to call Pretty Little Liars, Vladimir Tod, The Wolves of Mercy Falls, and I'm going to be reviewing some single books, too. So, first on the list is Pretty Little Liars. Pretty Little Liars is an 8 book series by Sara Shepard, the first book is Pretty Little Liars, then comes Flawless, Perfect, Unbelievable, Wicked, Killer, Heartless, and the last book (which hasn't come out yet, unfortunately) is Wanted. My personal favorite book in the series so far has definitely been either Heartless or Unbelievable, but that's jsut me. Fortunately enough, you can go one book ahead of the order, because it explains a lot, but that also can get tiring to some readers who know what is going on. I personally thought it was great, because I read them in this order: Flawless, Pretty Little Liars, Unbelievable, Perfect, Wicked, Killer, Heartless. I know. It's strange. Oh, well. Anyway, onto the plot: It's about five best friends: Alison DiLaurentis, Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields, Aria Montgomery, and Hanna Marin. When Ali goes missing (folks, don't worry- this isn't a spoiler, it happens within the first 10 pages of the series.) the other four are devastated. Then they flash forward about 4 years, and they start getting anonymous notes that reveal secrets that ONLY ALI KNEW. It's incredible, really. I'd recommend it to a lot of people. But it does get pretty... dirty sometimes. I usually skip those parts. Language... and dating. Lots of dating. But, on the whole, a really good series!

Introductions

Hello all!

Welcome to SILVERUSHReviews. There are two of us running the site, Rush1720 and SilverLining. Props for the name go to Rush. I figured that we could just do quick introductions in case if you want to know a bit about us.

SilverLining-

Name Comes From: One of my favorite songs: The Lining is Silver by Relient K. Also, I believe that there is a silver lining to any situation.

Favorite Fictional Place: Either Narnia or Hogwarts.

Random Loved Book Quote: "If you don't imagine, nothing ever happens at all." -Paper Towns by John Green

If you could be absolutely anything in the world, what would you be?: Either an otter or a panda. For no reason other than they're awesome.

Favorite subject [of anything at all]: Music technology. [It was this class I took at a music camp last summer.]

Favorite book of all time: Uhm. I suppose it'd have to be the Harry Potters. And if I have to pick one specifically, it's a close call between 5&6, but I'm going with 5: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by JK Rowling. Orrr. Looking For Alaska by John Green.

Rush1720-

Name Comes From: Rush is the name of the book I'm trying to write, and 1720 is my number on another blog. Plus, I like the ring of it.

Favorite Fictional Place: Hands down Narnia, but for second place is either Hogwarts or District Thirteen.

Random Loved Book Quote: "Common sense is just a name for the way we're used to thinking." It's from Rebecca Stead's book, When You Reach Me.

If you could be absolutely anything in the world, what would you be?: I'd be Hydrogen. Because then I'd make up 70% of everything on Earth. And I'd feel special! :)

Favorite subject [of anything at all]: Mine would be either creative writing or American history.

Favorite book of all time: Mine is (right now) Fallen by Lauren Kate.
