This was definitely different. When it started, I thought it was going to be a book of Madison telling her woes to the world. But then I got into it, and it ended up being a lot more than that. It has all of the elements of a good story: good dialogue, quirky characters, unexpected twists, some romance. Even with these elements though, part of the story fell through for me. I can't really put my finger on it, but there was something throughout the story that just didn't work for me. I wouldn't mark this as a definite read, but I'd pick it up at the library if you need something to read.
